Private Golf Clubs
This will be the top clubs in the desert. Most will include custom homes, semi-custom homes and builder developed floor plans. These clubs will require a membership to use any of the facilities. Most clubs will offer membership opportunities, some you will need to be sponsored, and others you can’t join unless you own property. Some examples will include, Andalusia Country Club, Bighorn Golf Club, Madison Club, PGA West Country Club, and Vintage Country Club.
Semi-Private Golf Clubs
This clubs will often have more than one course and will have the option to have the public play some of the courses. Because they do not rely solely on the homeowners to carry the operating expenses, memberships are considered a better value, especially for the occasional golfer. Most will offer limited gameplay without a membership. Some examples will include, PGA West Country Club, Mission Hills Country Club, and La Quinta Resort.
Public Golf Clubs
Public clubs are found in all the desert cities, and they offer several floor plans. Some will have one builder only, and others will have multiple builders and architecture styles. Most will have a low HOA and will include some amenities. Public Clubs will offer the most affordable single family golf course homes. Some examples will include, La Quinta Fairways - La Quinta Resort, Indian Springs Country Club, and Indian Palms Country Club.
Condo Golf Clubs

You will find both private and public condo clubs in all cities offering several floor plans that could get over 3,000 square feet. Most condos will be one story and attached to one or two other units. HOA fees will typically be starting around $400 and will cover the maintenance, landscaping, cable, and insurance, making it easy to own. Some examples will include, Palm Valley Country Club, Rancho Las Palmas Country Club, Monterey Country Club, Oasis Country Club, Chaparral Country Club, and The Lakes Country Club.
Senior Golf Clubs
